The multinational technology company iPhone is well known for its quality and that’s the reason iPhones are always trending in the smartphone world. Due to the company’s brand value, iPhones are usually very expensive and often known as premium phones.

The latest iPhone device is currently been sold in leading e-commerce and retail stores at a price ranging between Rs 50,900 to Rs 60,000 in India. But you will be surprised to know that a six-year-old iPhone 4S with its screen was broken was seen selling for $149,999 (INR 1 CRORE) on eBay. Are you shocked?? So you might be thinking what’s so special about it?

The Truth behind this broken iPhone-4S costs more than a High-End Sports Car or a Sports Bike is actually this iPhone is making viral on the internet of its huge price tag because the phone’s back panel will pay homage to “Apple’s co-founder”, the late Steve Jobs. The seller claimed that “1 of only 56 phones made to honor the late Steve Jobs.”Steve-Jobs-min

If we look at the Apple logo on the back panel of the iPhone 4S up for sale, we’ll see the logo seems different. It’s because it’s not the official Apple logo, but a modified one that Jonathan Mak designed as a tribute to Steve Jobs, shortly after his death.Apple-Logo-min

According to a Yahoo report, a company called Goldgenie decided to roll out an expensive but special edition of iPhone 4S commemorating Steve Jobs, with Jonathan Mak’s Apple logo. And Goldgenie made exactly 56 of such Apple iPhone 4S at the time.

So is the eBay iPhone 4S the same one that Goldgenie made? Unfortunately, no. Because the Goldgenie iPhone had a gold back panel, not a transparent glass panel as seems the case on the “fake limited edition” iPhone 4S being sold on eBay — which is most probably a gray market invention.

Let us know what do you think about this and would you be interested in spending so much money on something like this?
